(tho I think "not yet" still applies). :)

Ruth - thanks for the heads up; I read Jon's post today and left a post-length note over there. That was a great post... I can't wait to hear what YOU have to say on the subject. :)

Mike - so true... but then of course, there's the issue of "changing God's mind"... Abraham arguing about Sodom, for example... and all the times it says "God relented" - but I wonder, even so, if it was his will all along and just the author's perception of it that changed... I'm so glad we have an eternal lifetime to experience God's Word and that having it all figured out isn't a requirement. In the meantime, I'm just choosing to believe before I understand everything. Lol. :)Happyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18060152095194610475noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34923676.post-19251424108818365302008-09-09T09:29:00.000-05:002008-09-09T09:29:00.000-05:00Hey there Hap!! It seems to me that our prayer has to pretty much line up with God's will and if not, the answer is going to be no.Mikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08283586290804985847noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34923676.post-17878142150458646512008-09-07T16:22:00.000-05:002008-09-07T16:22:00.000-05:00Hey Happy - how are you doing? It's been a while since I've visited but I have been checking in.

Did you know that Jon is talking about the same thing over at something else?

It's funny cause I've be thinking about the very same thing recently and was planning a post about it. It seems we have a collective mind in blog world.Ruthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02024613458911435527noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34923676.post-25719687923299890312008-09-06T13:54:00.000-05:002008-09-06T13:54:00.000-05:00Pete Greig in his book God on Mute talks about tha...Pete Greig in his book God on Mute talks about that even Jesus had an unanswered prayer. He prayed that we would be one. (Not to add to the complexity of the subject, but...)

Your post is timely because I was just on my face earlier this week because of a non-Christian friend of mine who is struggling with a painful disease. He is seeking Reiki healers, herbalists, medical doctors....all kinds of stuff. Yet don't we have the source of healing? I do believe that God will do this. I just don't know how or when.

I'll keep you posted.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
